Proudly Supporting The Great Big School Clean Initiative

At Calisen Group, sustainability is at the heart of everything we do. We are committed to making a positive impact, not just through our core operations, but also within the communities we serve.

 

Driving social and economic development is a key pillar of our sustainability strategy. This year, we are thrilled that The Calisen Impact Charitable Trust is sponsoring the Great Big School Clean, taking place from 21 March to 6 April. The Charitable Trust was launched in 2024, and is supporting UK-based charities that share the vision for a cleaner, greener and more sustainable future

 

Instilling a sense of environmental responsibility in young people is vital to building a more sustainable future. Last year, over 160,000 pupils pledged to take part in the Great Big School Clean, actively improving their local neighbourhoods by collecting litter around their schools and communities.

 

In 2023, Calisen Group supported the wider Great British Spring Clean campaign, contributing to a nationwide effort that saw over 425,000 bags of litter pledged for collection. 

 

This year we are taking it a step further. Alongside Keep Britain Tidy, Wigan Council and Wigan Athletic, Calisen Group is co-organising a local clean-up event that will take place on 3rd April, and will see 100 school children from across Wigan walking from their schools to Wigan Athletic, collecting litter along the way.

 

Our employees are excited to roll up their sleeves and support the children in making a tangible difference in their local area. Together, we can create cleaner, greener communities, and inspire the next generation to take pride in their surroundings.
